Dr. Jessica Liu was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She was an avid figure skater and graduated from West Side High School in 2009. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of St Louis University. She is also a graduate of The School of Medicine at St Louis University. Dr Liu completed her Ophthalmology Residency at St Louis University Medical School where she was also Chief Resident during her senior year and received The Dr. Jerald Harrison Award of Outstanding Resident. Dr. Liu then completed a Complex Anterior Segment Surgery and Glaucoma Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Jessica Liu‘s practice at Omaha Eye and Laser Institute will focus on Surgery involving the anterior segment of the eye such as traditional and Laser cataract surgery, with Toric, Trifocal, and Light adjustable lens implants. Glaucoma surgery to include trabeculectomy , glaucoma tube shunts, glaucoma MIGS procedures to include iStents, Xen gel implants, KBD goniotomy, Hydrus implants, OMNI 360 viscocanalostomy, and will be doing refractive surgery to include LASIK, PRK, and ICL surgeries. She also performs laser glaucoma surgeries such as laser peripheral iridotomy, selective laser trabeculoplasty, and micropulse cyclophotocoagulation. In her free time, Dr. Jessica enjoys playing music and is an accomplished pianist and violinist. She enjoys cooking with her husband Eric who is an Internist physician, spending time with family, and an active members of their church.
